ALGON ALGAECIDE, under field conditions, has shown to be effective in controlling a broad range of algae. Especially effective results have been obtained against Chara, Spirogyra, Cladophora, Caucheria, Ulothrix, Microcystis and Oscillatoria. The Triethanolamine in ALGON ALGAECIDE prevents the precipitation of the copper with carbonates or bicarbonates in the water.

ALGON ALGAECIDE may be toxic to trout and other species of fish. Fish toxicity is dependent upon the hardness of water. Do not use ALGON ALGAECIDE in water containing trout if the carbonate hardness of water does not exceed 50 ppm. When used in public waters, some states may require permits; check with appropriate agencies.
